We Just had to have daddy and Krew swim time once before we went back to Utah. Krew loves the water so much more this year and is even a little more brave about jumping in swimming around on his own with his little floaties. Krew is really going to miss swimming with his daddy this summer!

Yes I am on my way back to Utah on Monday. Griffin and I had a lot of discussions on this subject and just felt with how busy he is with managing the office and trying to sell himself that it was the best decision for us. Its only 3 weeks earlier than we planned but it is still going to be a very hard challenge. I am going to miss my husband terribly but I know this is the best thing for our family. He will be able to focus more on selling and taking care of his office. I cannot say enough about how proud of him I am. He works so long and hard these few months for our family and does such an amazing job! And he also does so much for the guys in his office every day to make sure all their needs are met. We have found a house in Herriman that I will be moving into when I get home. I am so stoked to see it!! I can't wait to get it ready for Griff to come home to. I love him so much and know how hard this is going to be but we both know it will be so worth it when the summer is all over.

I really need to do better writing posts about are sweet baby that will be here in September. The day we left for Illinois I had my big ultrasound and everything was perfect!!! And yes she was confirmed a GIRL!!!! It was so much fun to see how much she had grown and all her cute little hands, fingers, feet and toes. I am still in a little bit of denial with this pregnancy. Its amazing to me how different I am with this one than when I was pregnant with Krew. It could be that Krew keeps me busy and going pretty much all day long and with your first all you can do is think about the that life growing inside you.........I will be 22 weeks tomorrow and this little girl is super active and is always moving, kicking or punching me. Krew was even able to feel her yesterday. He would keep putting his hand on my belly and saying "come on little girl kick me".......Love him! We have decided to name her Marlie! Even at this point if I wanted to change I don't think I could, Krew only knows her as Marlie now so its a really good thing we love the name!

So after being cooped up in our apartment or running to target every other day for over a week. And poor Krew asking me everyday to go outside, which I'll add our apartments are not very kid friendly. Fortunately one day as we were driving around we came across this really cute park not very far from our apartments. This was heaven for Krew!!! he would run up the stairs and go down the slides over and over again. He also loved the swing!!! It was so nice to see him being able to run around outside in the sun for a while. It has been my favorite day so far in Champaign.

Well........ we made it here safe and sound and managed to get all settled in before Griffin started training and selling today! The drive wasn't as bad as I always anticipate to be and Krew is AMAZING!!! He didn't fuss or ask to be taken out of his seat once I truly feel blessed with him everyday......Thank you Krew for always exceeding my expectations! As we were driving into Illinois especially past Springfield (last summers home) it really had a sense of home. All the lush green trees and huge farms reminded me why I fell in love with this place last year. Our Apartments are for sure much better than last year and we've done a pretty good job with the limited stuff we bring with us at turning it into a home for a few months. I love how being out here on our own really gives a sense of appreciation and how our little family grows much closer together and we become so much stronger! I am sad that I will have to leave a couple months early due to our growing baby girl but I know the two months will fly by and Griffin will be able to focus just on selling and his office. And he will be back home with us before I know it!

What a great Easter! We always spend this holiday in St. George with griffin's Family and it is always one of our favorite trips. It was such a great way to end our last week in Utah. Krew and Conner had so much fun playing together. They really are best buddies! My brother and sister in law also announced that they are going to have baby #2 and she is only 7 weeks behind me! We are so thrilled!!!! This really was an amazing weekend spent with family that we love and are going to miss very much!

This egg hunt was by far much more fun than last years. Last Year my sister in law and I decided to start our own egg hunt for the boys but the first egg they found they sat down and started digging into the candy. This year they ran full force and grabbed as many eggs as their baskets could carry.........so cute! It was for sure one of my favorite memories of these two!

This is my first attempt at sewing. And I must say I am pretty proud of myself :-). I decided to start with a nursing cover. One because its a pretty easy pattern and two because I didn't know what I was having yet and I don't think a nursing cover has to match the gender. I will post more as I start and finish more of my sewing projects for this little one!

YAY........We are expecting baby #2 and couldn't be happier!!! This baby can not come at a better time. We truly feel blessed! I am due sometime in September which is perfect! I have been really late with posting this, just been wanting to make sure I am far enough along to make sure its permanent. I am 16 weeks this week and will know the exact due date with the BIG ultra sound they do, which will be in three weeks. I was lucky enough to get a peek on Monday thanks to Griffin's aunt. She works in the woman's center and suggested we take a look a little early and it seriously was so much fun!!! Its amazing to me how quickly they grow we got to see all arms, hands, legs and feet. It was also confirmed that this baby will be a GIRL!!!!! I think I'm kind of in denial with that one but she promised me that she would not tell me unless she was 100% sure. So it looks like it will be a boy and a girl for us. Now I just want her healthy and happy. And I already can't wait to meet her!

For our last day in Cali Griff wanted to drive down to Laguna and show Krew the tide pools that are filled with star fish. It was the perfect day for this too. It was really over cast but still a little warmer. We really love Laguna but hate the parking there. Even on a day like this it was really hard to find a parking spot. I'm always amazed at how busy Laguna is. So we walked down the beach to tide pools and guess what......with all the big waves they've had from the tsunami there were no star fish :-(. We were really disappointed that we couldn't show Krew all the fun tide pools. So we walked back and drove back to Newport. One good thing was lunch at Fred's......they have such amazing carnitas tacos......My Fav!!!!

Wicked

While in Cali I was also lucky enough to go to Wicked again! When Dallas and I saw that Wicked was going to be in Costa Mesa while we were there we just had to get tickets. She had never seen it before and it is my absolute fav musical. It did not disappoint!!! It was seriously AMAZING!! And it really was fun to be with Dallas for her first time. We just had to get a pic of us going to Wicked but since cameras are not allowed in the theatre we had one taken at the condo before we left. This was definitely the best GIRLS NIGHT!!

It was so much fun to take Krew to the beach for the first time. He LOVED playing in the sand with his big truck and the other beach toys we got him. He thought digging a big hole was the BEST! Then him and I went down by the water and would run away from the waves coming in.......he would run and say they're coming! It was so cute!! This is also Griffin's favorite thing to do in Cali and he was in heaven with his boogie board. The waves were really big that day and Griffin was lucky enough to catch some good ones.

There is no other way than to describe this day as HAPPY!!!! Its amazing to me how at any age you can walk into Disneyland and feel like a kid all over again. It was so much fun to see how happy Krew was to see Donald, Mickey and Goofey. He was more excited than I could have hoped for he was reaching for hugs and giving them bones......he even kissed Mickey on the nose! Seeing him so happy for sure made the whole trip worth it! I really hope he remembers just a small part of his first visit to Disneyland. I loved every moment of this day and will treasure it forever! I already can't wait to go back......hopefully next time family will be able to go and share in such a magical time with us!!

This day was pretty low key and lazy. We just went to the mall for a few hours and shopped and had lunch at the rain forest cafe........which wasn't the best idea. If you have never been here before it is a restaurant that is all decorated to look like a rain forest and it has a bunch of animals and at random times they make loud noises and then it will act like there is a big thunder storm.....neways Krew was totally freaked out about the big gorilla and wouldn't calm down enough to even eat. I felt awful I originally wanted to go there for him but it totally backfired......BAD mom!!! When we got back to the condo Griff took Krew to the beach for him to play in the sand and WOW did he ever LOVE IT!!!!

I always love the drive into Newport Beach and our day of arrival was PERFECT!!! The weather was so nice and there is nothing like the smell of the beach. Our first day was pretty relaxing we got all settled into the condo then drove over to Huntington for dinner at Ruby's......which is a MUST!!! Its always so fun to walk down the pier and watch the surfers. Krew was in HEAVEN!! so was Griffin!

Yes!!!! we are going to Disneyland! I can't tell you how excited I am to take my little man here. He has been in love with Mickey for almost a year and he can't stop talking about how he gets to go see Mickey and Donald and Goofey.........too cute! I was a little worried about him being to young and I know he won't remember but just seeing the excitement in him when I tell we're going to Disneyland lets me know I am making the right decision. So not only do I get to go to Disneyland but also I am going to Wicked......YAY!!! I seriously love this show! I saw it a few years ago with my mom in LA and was blown away and can't wait to go again with one of my best friends, this will be her first time and I know she is going to LOVE it!!! We are renting a beach house in Newport (mine and Griffs favorite place). We can't wait to eat at some of our favorite restaurants and for Krew to play on the beach for the first time (can't wait for pics of this). Its going to be a great trip before we leave for the summer. I will make sure to post about our trip as soon as we get home!

So we are into February and I am still watching this movie at least once a day! Krew is completely obsessed with it. He even knows the parts that are coming up next and he walks around the house singing the hot chocolate song.....so cute! Its a good thing its a really cute movie but yes it is getting old. I keep trying to get him to watch toy story or cars but all he wants is choo choo ( that's what he calls it ). People have told me to have him watch Thomas but I'm not really into the whole Thomas the train......so it looks like I'm stuck with the Polar Express. Lets just pray that I am still not watching it every day in August or the dvd might end up burned!!!

On the 14th my baby turned 2!!! I have to say that day was very bittersweet. It has been the most amazing thing to watch him grow and learn these past two years I am seriously amazed everyday at how smart he is! I am so proud of the little boy he is today but am so sad to loose my baby no one can prepare you for how fast it goes I wish there was a pause button on him but I know that isn't possible and all I can hope for is to make sure he is ready for the outside world. At least I can still keep him close for the next year........until preschool starts.

We celebrated his Birthday a couple days after.......he had a football party!! It was so nice to share that day with family and friends. Krew had so much fun opening up his presents and beating the pinata and he blew out his candles all on his own!!! HaPpY BiRtHdAy little man!!!! We love you so much!!!!

Our last stop was Cozumel, Mexico...............this place was seriously BEAUTIFUL!!! The water was AMAZING!!! Of all the places I have been to in Mexico this was by far the cleanest and it was so much fun to walk around. There were so many colors and I honestly felt pretty safe there (a first for me for Mexico). So we walked around and shopped, I got my vanilla and got Krew a couple of things. Then we thought it would be fun to find a place on the beach to hang out and get some food. But that kind of turned into a bust and we just went back to the ship. I was really sad because I really would have loved to have spent more time there. I will for sure try and get back there sometime!

Our third stop was Belize.........And to be honest I was really excited to see Belize but I'm sad to say I was very disappointed....... this was by far the worst day!! We seriously did nothing but walk around and we only walked around the area that carnival owned because outside of that was pretty scary and ugly and any excursion you could do was a couple hours away. So...... we walked around took a few pics and got back on the ship.

Roatan

Our next stop was Roatan, Honduras. This was by far my favorite day.........We went zip lining which required crossing a few Indiana Jones type bridges (SCARY!!) and then we got to go play and hold the cutest monkey's. One was only 7 months and it for sure made me a little baby hungry. I was able to feed him a bottle and he just held on so tight......he was seriously the highlight of my trip. After the monkeys we went and hung out at Tabyana beach........it was Amazing!!! Griff and Eric swam in the water while Dallas and I just soaked up the sun. It really was the BEST day!!!!

After our day at sea the first stop was Grand Cayman.......first we walked around and took some pics then we found a cafe with some WIFI ( Yay......Internet). I also called and checked on Krew. He was doing really good and was having fun with my parents. Second......we took a boat out to the reef where the sting rays like to hang out. Seriously AMAZING!!!!! the water was exactly how you picture the Caribbean to be. Griffin loved the sting rays he was so much more brave than I was. He gave one a kiss and was given a back rub by a sting ray too. I on the other hand tried leaving the boat but that didn't turn out so well. Good thing I love taking pics!!!

This Christmas I was finally able to see the joy of being a parent and knowing what its like to feel like Santas little elf! I can't even put into words how amazing it was to see Krew on Christmas morning when he woke up and saw "big truck" (that is what he said santa was bringing him). I have always loved Christmas but having kids has put a whole new meaning to it! I truley felt so blessed this holiday season!!

Best Buds!!!

We had so much fun going to lunch on Christmas eve with all of Griffs family! Krew and Conner were able to exchange gifts since they would not be seeing each other on Christmas. They were both very excited about giving the gifts they had picked out but after the excitement of unwrapping they each wanted to play with the toy they gave the other. After a few tears the day turned out pretty wonderful!!

So I have had this idea of a picture of Krew for some time now and have just been waiting for the right snow storm (well for it to actually snow). We woke up yesterday and guess what........SNOW!!!! as fast as I could I got Krew all ready and before he knew it I was snapping pictures of him. He really had a lot of fun which actually made these turn out so much better than I imagined. Now I finally have the pictures that I had just been itching to take!

A couple weekends ago we decided to take a little trip to St. George so that Griff could do a little selling. Luckily our friends decided to come down so that Eric could sell with Griff also. So while the boys were selling I was able to spend some much needed girl time (and babes) with one of my besties, Dallas. We got a little Christmas shopping done, took some super cute pics and ate at the Pasta Factory......yummy!!! We were also able to go see Tangled! It was seriously the cutest movie.... i'm pretty sure Dallas and I had smiles on our faces the entire time! I highly recommend this movie to all girls!

A few weeks ago we decided to take Krew to see the lights at temple square. It was a little chilly and he was all bundled up but it was fun to see him get excited by all the colors. We got some hot chocolate and just walked around......I remember doing that as a little girl. I love that now I get to share moments like this with my own little family.

3 years ago yesterday I married the most wonderful man and I am still so very much in love with him! I love that I still get that giddy feeling when he kisses me. He has exceeded my expectations as a husband and as a daddy to our beautiful little boy. I just want him to know how proud of him I am everyday that he works so hard for our little family. I can't believe we have been married for 3 years already and that we have an 18 month old baby........where does the time go!? Thank you sweetheart for marrying me and making me the luckiest girl!

He thinks he is so cool........

Krew is in love with the pool! we go everyday about two times a day and he is turning into my little fish. We try and go out every morning before Griff has his meeting so that we can have a little family time. It's so fun watching Krew and his daddy playing in the water! And fun for mommy because I am able to get some sun on my poor pasty skin that i've had for the past two summers. Loving this tan!

We really have been enjoying our first month in Springfield even though Griffin is gone most of the time working. There is another family out here that we have become very close to.......you could say they have become our family! while the guys were at work Dallas and I ventured out into downtown Springfield to take some pictures of our babes! So we have been out here for almost three weeks now and it is starting to feel like home....Yay!!
But there is the weirdest thing ( at least to me ) that I just had to talk about. Not only do we have squirels and chipmunks but we have BUNNIES that just hop around. I never knew there are wild bunnies in the mid west.

So once again here I am saying how bad I am at keeping up on our blog but I finally have a really good excuse to keep it updated.

A few months ago my husband decided that he was going to quit his job at the end of April and try out summer sales and with that comes us moving to Illinois until the middle of August.

On to our Adventure...........

It was a three day drive through Denver, Kansas.......such an exciting state, and then last Missouri.
I must say that Kansas City was one of the coolest cities I have ever seen I highly recommend seeing it if you are ever out this way. So once we got here and got our apartment all set up we took advantage of only being two hours away from Carthage Jail and Nauvoo..........what amazing church history I feel very lucky to be able to live so close for a while to take it all in.

9 Months

I can't believe my baby is 9 months. Where does the time go? He is getting such a personality and is so funny I seriously laugh all day long with him. It only took us 9 months but we finally had some new pictures taken of Krew. I was prepared for a full day of trying to get only a couple of good pictures of him but I was wrong. He was such a pro! Every time the camera was on him he smiled the cheesiest smile. I was so proud of him!! Here are some of the pictures taken of Krew that Griffin took!

This weekend we took Krew to the pool for his first time. At first he didn't want to have anything to do with it. Finally we talked him into getting on his starfish raft. Once he did he realized it was just like the bath but bigger and he was king of the pool. He just relaxed and floated around and winked at all the girls at the pool. Also I held him and he tried to swim ( probably not ) but it looked like it. It sure tired him out. I have a feeling hes going to love the water as much as his dad does.

Every year we go down to Mount Pleasant on the 4th of July to my parents house . This year Krew got to come and he loved the small town feel of things . He got to spend time with his cousin Conner and was as happy as can be.

These past two months have been so fun with Krew. He is finding things out on his own and his personality is really starting to come out! I try and teach him things when Janelles not around

Every Year for Easter weekend we go down to St. George with all of Griffin's family. It is so much fun and full of shopping (for the girls), good restuarant's and always late trips to dairy queen for a shake. The boys go for hikes that always turn into some good picture taking....which is Griffin's favorite part, he loves taking pictures. It is always good to be able to spend so much time with Griff's family and there is no better place than St. George...we always love going there!

Here is my little guy on his blessing day. We had him blessed 2 weeks ago......I know...I know I am so horrible at this blogging thing but I promise I am trying to get better.
Krew's blessing was the best day! He looked so cute all in white and Griffin gave him such a beautiful blessing. We had so many friends and family there which made it even more special. I couldn't believe we were already blessing him it was such a bittersweet moment but I wouldn't change it for anything because he has brought such joy to us and we are so thankful every day that he is our son!!

Krew is finally here! He was born on January 14 2009 he weighed 7lbs 5oz and was 19in long. The whole thing was such an amazing experience and we couldn't be happier to have him as our son!!
Having a baby around is a new experience and I am just finally starting to feel like I am me
again minus sleep. I never knew I could be so tired but he is such an amazing baby and really sleeps very good and I love being with him even at 3:00 in the morning!!!! I will start getting better at putting up new pictures and letting everyone know what is going on with our new little family!

So every one has been asking me to post a picture of my belly.......So here you go!!
This is me at 36 weeks even though by now I am almost 38. Sorry it took me a while to get the picture up. I can't believe we only have a couple more weeks until our little Krew is here. It really has gone by fast.....just like everyone said it would. Some days I am so ready for him to be here and then others I don't feel ready at all. But I know that the moment I see him all that doubt will go away. Well I hope you all like the picture of my big belly!!!!

I can't believe we only have 17 days until Christmas. Time really does go by fast and I feel like I have nothing ready this year. I really try to find the best gifts for everyone but there are so many people that are so hard to shop for. And with the baby only a few weeks away I'm having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit I just can't wait for him to be here. I hope everyone isn't having as hard a time as I am this year. At least it is finally snowing that might help it feel like Christmas.

Griffin finishes up finals this week and has made the decision to start going to Westminster and get his bachelors in nursing. We are so excited!!! He is so excited about it and their is nothing that makes me more happy than to see him be so happy. One more semester at SLCC!!!!

Shower!!!

Well I have made it to 29 weeks.....Yea!!! Me and Krew had our first shower on Saturday and he got a lot of cute things. One of my favorites is his tub, it is a spa tub that has a whirlpool and sprayer. I can't wait for him to use it. The picture is of the diaper cake my mom made. She did such a good job and I want to thank her for all the hard work she did in putting together my shower especially with how busy she has been with being out of town for the last month. Thanks mom your the best!!!
I also want to thank everyone who came and for the great gifts Krew got I can't wait for him to be here and start using all he has. He is already such a spoiled and loved baby.

We finally went to fetal fotos and found out that we are having a Boy!!!! His name is going to be Krew Griffin Erskine. We couldn't be more excited this is what we were hoping for. My dad and brother were just a little more excited then I think we were. They will have a little football player on their hands ( in a few years of course ). They just hope that he gets Griffin's height, but with me being so short we can only hope.

So I am really new with this. But I thought it would be a fun way for family and friend's who don't live by me to see what it going on in our lives. And with our first baby on the way and us just becoming an aunt and uncle for the first time I thought there was no better time than now to start.

Our little nephew Conner Gregg Erskine was born on Monday July 14 2008 and he is the cutest little thing. We are expecting our first baby January 23 and can't wait!!! We are so excited to be a mom and dad. I am 13 Weeks and will find out what we are having in a couple of weeks. I am way too anxious and am going to Fetal Fotos at 15 weeks just hoping that they can tell us the sex of the baby a few weeks early. And then the shopping can start!!!
